Wrapping up my dad’s website for his big promotional launch tomorrow and sneaking in one last delightful moment where his signature animates in… First step is cutting it up into parts that I can cleanly mask in with a path animation:

Not sure if it’s a conference or a concert, but I’m here #WebSummit

- It forces the recipient to wait while you type your actual message - It generates multiple notifications instead of just one - It wastes time as both parties must engage in back-and-forth pleasantries before getting to the point [contains quote post or other embedded content]

I created a web accessibility and inclusion starter pack. Comment with your favourite accessibility folks, and I'll add them to the list. #a11y [contains quote post or other embedded content]

🚀❤️🦋 You can now embed posts in your Astro pages, with no client-side JS! Just pass it the post URL and it generates the right embed with static HTML and CSS. Works in both Astro and MDX pages. Supports embedded images, video, quoted posts, starter packs and more. And yes, it supports dark mode. https://astro-embed.netlify.app/components/bluesky/

SQL is the best language because it allows for sarcasm case SeLeCt * FrOm users WhErE is_active

First post on bsky and so let me lay it all out. * esm was a mistake * coffeescript is the GOAT * web components don't exist And the obvious ones: * that should be a link or a form * snake_case_is_the_best_case * spaces over tabs

devs love to have a little script they run and before they run it say ‘ah i have a little script for that’

Hi Bluesky friends! I'm Veni 😊 After working as a Software Engineer for over a decade, I started @diversifytech.com 6 years ago I'm not going to convince you to care about diversity in tech but if you do, I'd love to introduce you to great candidates from our community. www.diversifytech.com https://www.diversifytech.com/

Check this out! CloudFormation is getting a new Timeline View, showing exactly which parts of your deployments are taking up most time. It isn't showing up in my console yet but I'm sure it'll be there soon. https://aws-news.com/article/01931d35-5421-db9a-fc76-530049444b3b

Platform Engineering Starter Pack by @jeremy.lewi.us. Starter packs are such a great idea. Love them! https://bsky.app/starter-pack/jeremy.lewi.us/3l7u5dbbj3i2k [contains quote post or other embedded content]

My cold-infested brain still managed to enjoy 2.5hrs of marketing course video today. Shows how really good it is! Not looking forward to typing up the notes though: there were a lot and apparently my handwriting deteriorates when fuzzy-headed.

i can't ignore it

HTML ❤️ CSS

The 2024 Web Almanac is out, and this year the accessibility chapter is back, great work @mgifford.bsky.social ! https://almanac.httparchive.org/en/2024/accessibility

Thanks for sharing!

I missed the deadline, but until I hear this, I'll do more than my best to make it happen. Perfectionism hurts, but the quote deservers only high quality courses. Thanks Daniel, I'll close BSky now and 👨‍💻👨‍💻👨‍💻 [contains quote post or other embedded content]

Got a perfect score on my sleep tracker last night, I am going to be irredeemably annoying all day today. Good luck to everyone in the blast radius of my enthusiasm.

Not posting this over there but cookie banners are NOT the issue. Sorry to my friends in 🇺🇸, if that's your opinion, it's an L take. Making "Reject all" difficult to trick users into clicking "Accept all" is the problem. That and sharing data with 850+ "partners" to "improve services"...

After a couple of years of pretty much flawless usage, my Sony WH-1000XM4 noise cancelling bluetooth headphones have developed a sudden habit of producing screeching feedback out of one of the ears when you turn them on. Something going awry with the noise cancellation feature I guess.
