Today is the two year anniversary for https://t.co/lWepprFqmW being open source. We’ve been working hard to make the software viable and for empowering community builders to own their own destiny with @forem. We’re getting closer and will announce more progress on Monday. ❤️

I love learning new languages because there's something so nostalgic about watching beginner coding videos. We're drawing a circle on the canvas? Fantastic. Wait, now we're going to make 10 circles? But how will we do that? With a for loop? That's incredible

Five years ago I was told that I was 'un-hireable' by a big-shot tech recruiter because I didn't 'pick a lane-design or engineering.' I told him he was wrong. 🤷‍♀️ Multidisciplinary folks are thriving 💅 thanks. https://t.co/shmRzixBmG

Be wary of advice like “I learned it in the wrong order, so don’t repeat my mistakes”. It reeks of survivor bias. Those people *did* end up learning both, right? Maybe if they approached it from the other end they wouldn’t even finish it and switch to something else.

🌟 I've made a new thing! 🌟 The Animated Web is a showcase of the best animations from around the internet. I'm also going to add more content and tutorials. It's early stages but I'm hoping it will become a huge hub for web animation resources! https://t.co/kf6O7PuxPE https://t.co/6mCjNtvhPO

Yes! My first job in tech at age 39! I'll be an apprentice junior software engineer starting in September working in fintech. Social sciences degree. Holes in my CV due to illness. Started with freeCodeCamp with a dash of Udemy. You CAN do it with work and focus!

@mweststrate There's so much more to linting than types and formatting though. You can lint for things like consistent use of language features, JSDoc tags, a11y, React hooks rules, monorepo imports, security issues, etc. Kinda want a linter built on the TS compiler API though. 🤔

@mweststrate eslint is amazing for pre-commit hooks, we have been using them in our flow lately and it catches so many things that would otherwise be commited recklessly. Unused vars and imports is a big one and can actually help code be cleaner for others.

I told my boyfriend I'm 'resistant to the idea of having a side-hustle.' he's a freelancer, so it's like I just told him gravity was optional https://t.co/BVsJultGWt
