@ctrlshifti 20 years in the industry and I am still quite unable to come up with an acceptable estimate for how long it will take to do something I don't know how to do yet.
@ctrlshifti Long, self-descriptive function and variable names are always better than short, abbreviated ones, even when they get tediously long. I will always take a findSubstringInString() over a strstr().

@siddhantmohan1 I think it's because in technology, there are many paths to expertise. School is one. Work is another. Hacking on a crappy old laptop for years during high school instead of going to parties is yet another. Formal education is a positive signal, but should not be a filter.
@MrAhmadAwais I usually default to NextJS and Vercel with some Bootstrap style UI for my (usually small-ish) projects. The hassle to win ratio is near optimal.

@WellPaidGeek @AakashBathla1 What? Seems like something made up by pretentious folks to gate keep others. How do you measure productivity in a standard and uniform way that works and takes into account all the nuances that go with it? I mean I get the purpose but I wonder the value.
